Teaching
I currently teach five courses in the History and Politics programme at the University of Chichester:
- Rethinking History (Year one)
- An Introduction to the Nineteenth Century World (Year one)
- Political Ideologies: How Ideas Shape Politics and Why They Matter (Year two)
- Villains or Victims: White Women and the British Empire (Year two)
- Research Methods in African History (MRes Module)
I also team-teach sections of the MA in Cultural History, and supervise undergraduate and PhD student research projects.
Prior to working at Chichester, I taught a range of courses in the Gender Studies Programme at the University of Free State, South Africa.
